Always thinking about Ana's Siluetas and her intimate relationship with land. She made decisions to create installation works outside of the gallery, and not necessarily in a grandiose action like the work in the Land Art movement. The Siluetas are quiet, a memory of a person spending time and thought with landscapes. I am excited that the Nasher Sculpture Museum has recently purchased some of Ana Mendieta's work. For more information about the purchase of these works, there is an article in the Fall 2016 Nasher Magazine, page 21.
